To us, gone are the days of the stodgy, pretentious, and inaccessible theatre of the past. We believe theatre should be:

Accessible: Intentionally invite people traditionally marginalized and subsidize experiences for people living with low-income.

Innovative: We redefine what theatre can and ought to be by meeting people where they are and breaking 'the rules'.

Impactful: We invigorate people's passions to make positive change in community exploring relevant and critical issues.
At the American Legacy Theatre, we aspire for a day when every American has access to the empathy-building art form of theatre, and has a respected voice “in the room where it happens.”
