Three people in recovery. One wildly underprepared musical history of alcoholism in America. What could possibly go wrong?
See a New Work Take Shape
Gindependence Day is a darkly comedic new musical revue where history gets messy, recovery gets real, and the show must somehow go on.
See it while it’s still taking shape, then stick around to share your thoughts with playwright Terry Tocantins and the artists.
Not Your Typical Season Pass
We don't produce a traditional theatre season. Instead, ALT's year is filled with world premieres, staged readings, festivals, Lunch & Learns and more. The Insider Pass gives you access to it all.
Theatre Beyond the Stage
We create original theatre to build empathy, spark conversation, and bring people together.
Bring the Student Theatre Festival to Your School
Student Theatre Festival: America250
ALT is inviting up to 10 Cincinnati-area schools to take part in our 2026–27 Student Theatre Festival, where students will create and perform original theatre exploring America’s past and imagining its future.
Built Together for 10 Years
As we celebrate ALT's 10th birthday, we're inviting our community to help build the next decade.
Impact You Can Measure
From classrooms to community stages, ALT reached thousands this year—sparking empathy, dialogue, and change through original theatre.
