Mission

American Legacy Theatre generates inviting, reimagined theatrical experiences for all people to have a voice in enriching society.

Vision

American Legacy Theatre aspires for a day when every American has access to the empathy-building art form of theatre, and has a respected voice “in the room where it happens.”

At American Legacy Theatre, we cultivate empathy in students and adults alike through innovative theatrical experiences. Our programs are designed to inspire connection, understanding, and growth, fostering a shared sense of community and a deeper appreciation for diverse perspectives.

A theater scene with five actors, one standing on the left and four sitting on a bench. The person standing is dressed casually and looking at the person in front, who is wearing a yellow plaid jacket, white cap, and glasses, and is gesturing with their hands. The other actors on the bench have various expressions, with some surprised or amused, and are dressed casually.

“We loved having ALT come to our classroom each week! My students were excited about the play the whole time and worked hard to do their best. I found it helpful to have a multi-week project for my students to focus on. We all thought it was a great success.”
