About The Production

Residents from six neighborhoods across the tristate will write, design, and act in their own original production inspired by their community essence.  This is theatre by the community, for the community. No experience required. All voices and ages invited!

This is successfully accomplished alongside community champions that are embedded in the fabric of specific communities.

Neighborhoods and Champions:

Beech Acres' Service Community, Beech Acres Parenting Center

Camp Washington, The Well

Northern Kentucky, Behringer-Crawford Museum

Pleasant Ridge, Community Happens Here

Price Hill, Community Matters

Wyoming, Wyoming Fine Arts Center

May - July 2024: Each community champion will host one to two sessions for residents to discuss, share, and brainstorm over food the essence of their community. The values, the people, the stories that are inherent to the community.

August 2024 - April 2025: Same and/or different residents of these communities will work alongside ALT artistic staff and teaching artists to write, design, and act in their own original production inspired by the essence previously uncovered.

May 2025: Each one of these world premieres will be presented to the public at the locations selected by the residents building the production and likely housed by the community champions.

June 2025 (pending funding): These six world premieres will then be brought together to a centralized location and weekend for everyone across the region to engage in these community-built pieces that will activate audiences to strengthen community bonds, celebrate differences, and invigorate action for a more equitable tomorrow.

If you want to be a part of this process in any way - builder, audience member, donor, volunteer, sponsor - we invite you to RSVP to this event to stay in the loop!
