NEW VOICES CREATE NEW WORK WITH #YOURNATIONALTHEATRE

A.L.T. is now having an open call for all playwrights and composers who are looking to create, develop, and craft an original full-length piece of theatre — play, musical, etc. — over the next year with us.

These original pieces will benefit from development opportunities that include:

  • Collaborative build time with A.L.T. producing artistic director and other directors

  • Private and public readings

  • Workshops with fellow playwrights

  • Possibility of full-scale production and world premiere

The commitment you are making through this program is:

  • WRITE. A LOT.

  • Support and invest in the success of your fellow playwrights

  • Advocate for A.L.T. in the larger community

To apply for the inaugural four to six positions we plan to offer, please provide:

  • ​One full-length play/musical

  • Abstracts for two pieces you want to develop with A.L.T.

  • Resume that must include name, address, phone number, and reference(s)
